Touching Strangers by Richard Renaldi

81ZoygD2EGL copyTwo strangers were asked to pose in a photograph together. You won’t believe what happened next.

Photographer Richard Renaldi approaches random people he meets on New York City’s streets and asks them to pose in photos together as if they actually knew each other. Despite the fact that these people are requested to show a brief, fake sign of affection to each other, what the photographs reflect is unbelievable.

Take a second to watch this 2-minute video and the results will amaze you!

Miss Teen USA Latina Amor Guerra

Meet the Miss Teen U.S.A. Latina: Amor Guerra! She’s a San Diego native who represented U.S.A. Latinas at the Miss Teen Universe 2016 pageant in Costa Rica.

Amor shares, “My experience competing at the Miss Teen Universe 2016 pageant was absolutely great. I had the amazing opportunity to be the first representative of the Latin culture in America, this being said I was the first ever Miss Teen Universe U.S.A. Latina. I got the chance to meet such great girls from all over the globe! I was also able to travel for my first time to Costa Rica. I was lucky enough to be able to collaborate with an amazing photographer named Margaret Paredes who covered most of my time while I represented my title. Such an amazing and kind photographer.”

Thank you Amor, we are very proud of you and your accomplishments!

1900’s Mini Photo Studio

Yesterday I decided to take a break from photo editing and read about what some of my favorite photographers are working on. As I jumped from link to link I came across this amazing article online about a Turkish artist (Ali Alamedy) that spent 9 months producing a miniature 1900’s photography studio. Alamedy researched techniques used in the early 1990’s to accurately represent tools and equipment.  You can check out the article by clicking on the picture below. Untitled

Mother-Daughter Spring Sessions

Mother’s Day was this past weekend and as a mother myself I cherish every moment I am able to spend with my daughter. I have a box full of photographs of her growing up and every time I take a peek in that box I am reminded of how fast time flew by and how I wish I could have kept her young just a little longer. Many mothers feel the same way I do which is why I wanted to create a Mother-Daughter session in hopes of capturing beautiful moments between mothers and their daughters. I wanted to incorporate soft pastel colors and flowers to showcase spring time in San Diego.

Watch our little behind the scenes video here.

Lastly, these gorgeous flower headpieces were created by  Kristie Hall Gottesman. You can check out her page here KirahleyKreations.
